- 5 FACTORS OF AWESOMESAUCE PIZZA:
1) Dough: 8/10
The dough is very thin in the middle, while the border is thick, bready, and crunchy. They say in the website : “..The dough rests for 4 days. No more sore tummy! I promise, our light and crispy dough does not make you want to sleep. The fermentation of the dough during the four days in the cold room makes it more digestible via the transformation of a portion of gluten and natural sugars carbon dioxide. And the crispy side … that’s our ‘magic mix’ of flour!”. I can confirm that this is true, the dough is light and tasty and perfectly baked; the only flaw is the flour left on the border (you can probably see it in the picture below), it was just a bit annoying.
2) Toppings: 9/10
in general there is a great choice of toppings, from the traditional to the more experimental ones. You can add them or remove them as you wish from the recipe that you choose so there are options for vegetarians, vegans, everybody. For example I chose “La Tonno” that is without cheese on the menu but I asked to add mozzarella di bufala (a more tasty kind of mozzarella) and it was a great choice.
The mix of toppings of “La Tonno” is very traditional and it’s totally awesome;
however my friends chose more exotic toppings and they were totally great too.
You can taste that the quality of the ingredients is very high, especially the tomato sauce and the mozzarella; in fact they say in the website that they only use “San Marzano AOP” tomatoes and “Bufala Campana AOP” and this is the best choice that a pizza chef can make.
Finally I think also that the amount of ingredients is just perfect: not too much not too little; the only flow: the capes and the sun-dried tomatoes were a bit too salty.
3) Value: 9/10
I paid 9€ for this pizza, and it was totally worthy.
If I didn’t add mozzarella di bufala I would have paid only 7€ and this is totally fair; I’m pretty sure that this is one of the only fair and worthy pizzeria that you can find in Paris.
As you can see in the menu below all the traditional pizzas cost 7€ and the more experimental 12,5€: awesome.
Plus pizzas have just the perfect size and they use expensive/high quality ingredients.
I’m not rating this factor 10 only because I think that the margherita is a bit overprized: usually in Italy the simplest choice costs around 5€ and in my opinion they should add this kind of option.
4) Service: 9/10
The place is very little since it’s mostly thought to take away/delivery options; there are indeed like 10 places to sit and they also a bit uncomfortable.
However the service is super fast, the waitress is super energetic and the atmosphere is super nice.
The pizza is not sliced but they probably slice it for take away or delivery.
They speak english and the pizza chef is italian so you can trust me when I say that it’s probably the only true italian pizzeria In Paris.
5) Side Effects: 8/10
I felt a bit bloated and thirsty, probably because of the salty capes and tomatoes. But in this case it was totally worth it 🙂
- OVERALL RATING: 8.8/10 (the only true italian pizzeria in Paris!)
