- 5 FACTORS OF AWESOMESAUCE PIZZA:
1) Dough: 5/10
On their website they state “The pizza is prepared in the typical Roman style – flat and crispy. It comes with many different toppings, including, of course, the classic ‘Margherita’ and ‘Napoli’ styles, as well as with extra-special buffalo mozzarella cheese. The hand-made dough is left to mature for at least 24-48 hours, rendering it tasty, fragrant and always gentle on the stomach.”
The dough is actually very thin both in the middle and on the border.
I usually like this kind of pizza because it’s very light but here some pieces were burned and others were instead uncooked so I didn’t enjoy it very much.
2) Toppings: 5/10
The most disappointing thing is the quantity of toppings on this pizza.
As you can see on the pictures there are literally 5 flowers and 5 anchovies 😦 The amount of mozzarella is quite ok but they should totally put more of the other ingredients.
As for the quality of the toppings they tasted great but they don’t state anything about their provenience.
Finally I think this is a great mix of ingredients but not very original so I will rate this factor only 6 (the passing grade).
3) Value: 8/10
I paid 8€ and I think this is quite fair for a pizza different from a simple margherita in a restaurant.
However the size of the pizza is normal and the quantity of the toppings is not nearly sufficient.
Plus the toppings are not very special so I can’t rate this factor more than 8.
4) Service: 8/10
Since this place is very close to Colosseo, it was very crowded but the service was super quick anyway!
The pizza isn’t sliced but the waiters are super nice and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
5) Side Effects: 9/10
I felt a bit thirsty because of the salty anchovies but the dough was pretty light so I didn’t experience any bloating 🙂
