129. A fun roman pizzeria in Geneva!

1) Dough: 7/10
In their website they state:

Three different kinds of flour.
Natural yeast, all combined with a slow leavening process of at least 48 hours.
Crunchy crust at the bottom.
Light and soft air bubbles in the middle.

I loved its crunchiness but it tastes more like a flat bread instead of a pizza.

2) Toppings: 7/10
Al Pachino tastes great but re-heated tomatoes are super hot so it’s a bit difficult to eat.
However it’s very cheesy so I loved it.
Famille Champi is great too but I coudn’t distinguish the different kinds of mushrooms on it.
Finally the quality of the ingredients to me seem to be very high and it quantity is fair enough.

3) Value: 3/10
I paid 12 Francs for these slices of pizza and this is about 11€.
This price is just totally crazy. Definitely too much.

4) Service: 9/10
The service here is basically nonexistent.
There aren’t even a few tables to eat there: either you eat in standing on the counter or you bring the slices at home.
Anyway the guys that work there are nice, the atmosphere is very relaxing and the menu is very fun.

5) Side Effects: 9/10
After eating these pizzas I didn’t experience any side effects 🙂

1) Dough: 6/10
The dough is kinda thin in the middle, while very puffy and thick on the outside.
It follows indeed the typical neapolitan pizza tradition: the crust is not so crunchy, but very soft and delicious instead.
However it’s very chewy and burned here and there so that is a bit disappointing.
It’s not very light.

2) Toppings: 6/10
Tomatoes and mozzarella cheese taste great but of course this is one of the most basic pizza topping ever.
I would at least add some fresh basil.

3) Value: 7/10
I paid this little pizza 3€ and I think it’s kinda worth it since it’s little but very satisfying.

4) Service: 5/10
There’s not a lot to say about the service of this place since it’s a take-away pizza truck. However I can say that they are fast but not so nice.
Plus they fold this pizza like a wallet and this make no sense because it’s hot, hard to eat and not very appetizing.

5) Side Effects: 9/10
After eating this pizza I didn’t experience any side effect but it’s probably because it was very small.

  • OVERALL RATING:  6.6/10 (“wallet” pizza on the go!)

New formula but same problems:

  1. the amount of fruits is definitely too little. They added cranberries but it’s very hard to actually find them.
  2. the flakes are huge so eating a spoon of them is almost impossible xD

However it’s still very crunchy, fresh and kinda healthy stuff 🙂

1) Dough: 9/10
The dough is very very thin in the middle, while a little bit puffier on the outside.
The shape of my pizza was a bit different but I appreciated its oddity 🙂
You can clearly taste that it is made in a natural way with high quality ingredients; it’s way lighter than usual and I really like its texture.
Plus they offer whole wheat and gluten free dough upon request.
However it was a bit burned here and there on the borders so that wasn’t very nice.

2) Toppings: 10/10
The toppings here are traditional from Cilento.
I choose Spring in Cilento since it was super hot outside and it was delicious!
I’m not a fan of anchovies but they were completely different from the ones than you can buy at the supermarket: fleshy and not too salty.
Yellow tomatoes, zucchini blossoms and mozzarella were full of flavors and alle these ingredients make a tasty and light combination all together.
The quantity of the ingredients is fair too 🙂

3) Value: 8/10
I paid this pizza 12,50€ and I think it’s a lot; however the ingredients are not very common and their quality is very high so I guess it’s fair in a way.
On the menu you can read that the cheapest pizza is Marinara (6€), therefore there are actually no cheap option.

4) Service: 10/10
The service here seems very good.
They take reservations and i love this fact because in Milan pizzerie do not take reservations any more and you need to wait a lot to eat.
Here they baked our pizzas in less then 5 minutes and the waiters were extra nice to everybody.. it’s definitely a lovely place 🙂

5) Side Effects: 9/10
After eating this pizza I felt a bit thirsty probably because of the savory anchovies; however I didn’t experience any other side effect so I’m pretty sure that the dough was easy to digest.

  • OVERALL RATING:  9.2/10 (traditional pizza from Cilento in Milan!)
