- 5 FACTORS OF AWESOMESAUCE PIZZA:
1) Dough: 7/10
In this restaurant, they offer 3 kinds of special doughs: 100% whole wheat, natural veg and multigrain.
Last time I ate the whole wheat pizza so this time I tried the normal one!
I have to say that it was a bit disappointing because it was dry and overcooked so I actually liked the special one better
2) Toppings: 8/10
My opinion about the toppings stays the same: their quality is good and their quantity is fair. However, in this pizza, there was not enough gorgonzola or its flavor was dominated by the other ingredients because I didn’t taste it so much.
3) Value: 6/10
The price of these pizzas is very high in my opinion.
I paid 9,5€ for this pizza but they would add 3€ for the special dough and that is a bit too pricey
4) Service: 5/10
The service at this restaurant was not very good this time.
The restaurant was crowded but they really made us wait for a long time even though we made a reservation 😦
It was very annoying.
5) Side Effects: 10/10
I didn’t experience any huge side effect!

- 5 FACTORS OF AWESOMESAUCE PIZZA:
1) Dough: 10/10
After 2 years I went back to this gourmet restaurant for a special occasion and tasted their new menu.
Last time we chose their special tasting menu but they don’t offer it anymore so we chose 3 different toppings with 3 different doughs and they served us one at a time.
The 3 different doughs were all amazing, very well leavened and light; in the picture below you can clearly see the sponginess of the cornmeal and the squid ink dough.
2) Toppings: 10/10
Even though this time we weren’t completely surprised by their toppings since we chose them in advance, they were still astonishing and incredible.
My favorite one was the “Scampi Cacio e Pepe” because melted pecorino cheese was evenly spread on the dough so every bite was equally tasty and cheesy and crunchy; plus scampi with lemon zest made a perfect match!!
My second favorite pizza was the Carbonara one! When we chose this topping I thought it would be too eggy and heavy but it was just a delight instead. I don’t think that they actually put both lard from Colonnata and cheek lard (as it is written on the menu) but anyway the meat was soft and perfect together with the weirdly-shaped egg and the crunchy parmesan cheese wafer!!
My least favorite pizza was the Patanegra one because, in my opinion, the ingredients were the more simple ones; plus the stracciatella tastes too much like milk and I’m not a fan of cured ham..but all in all, it was very enjoyable and tasty.
3) Value: 7/10
We paid almost 30€ each and this is definitely expensive.
However, this experience is different and for special occasions is totally worth it.
At least the service fee is included in the pizza price -.-
However, the tasting menu was more convenient since, at the same price we got also an appetizer, a mini dessert and the toppings were a complete surprise.
4) Service: 10/10
The service was as good as 2 years ago so I’m writing again the same opinion: the waiters in this restaurant are professional, super caring and nice and they don’t make you uncomfortable at all.
Every time they bring a course to the table they explain what you are about to eat in a very clear and patient way.
The place is very neat and sophisticated.
They are also quite fast to prepare the gourmet pizza slices!
5) Side Effects: 10/10
After eating these slices I felt a bit thirsty but I didn’t experience any bloating or stomachache.
They are very light and easy to digest.

- 5 FACTORS OF AWESOMESAUCE PIZZA:
I’ve already reviewed this place here so this is just an update on what I think it’s changed from 2016.
1) Dough: 7/10
This time I thought the pizza was smaller but it’s probably the same size with thicker borders. I liked it. However, it’s still a bit too burned here and there
2) Toppings: 7/10
The fries were too oily but their amount was fair and the mozzarella is still better than average 🙂
3) Value: 6/10 (↓)
The prices have gone up by 0.50€ for each kind of pizza
4) Service: 8/10 (↑↑)
The service is still fictional since you need to pick up your pizza and cutlery and find a table yourself but the waiting times have definitely decreased.
Also, they have a new menu with new interesting pizza toppings like polenta (italian “cornmeal”) or mushroom cream 🙂
5) Side Effects: 9/10
After eating this pizza I felt a bit thirsty; however, I didn’t experience any bloating or stomachache.
- OVERALL RATING: 7.4/10 (punk rock pizza in Bergamo!)
- MUSIC SUGGESTION: Punk Rock Raduno
- DESCRIPTION: Calabrese (Peeled tomatoes, mozzarella, tuna fish, red onions from Tropea, oregano)

- 5 FACTORS OF AWESOMESAUCE PIZZA:
1) Dough: 9/10
Same opinion about the dough. The whole wheat dough is very tasty and the baking was perfect in my opinion. The only flaw is the leavening process: as you can see from the picture of the crust below, it doesn’t look totally succeeded.
2) Toppings: 9/10
Same opinion about the quality of their toppings, which is clearly high.
Plus I’m glad they didn’t actually put oregano on this pizza, as they wrote on the menu: fresh basil works just better on every pizza in the world in my opinion 🙂
3) Value: 8/10
They changed their menu from the one on the left to the one on the right.
As you can see the prices are a bit higher but the toppings changed for the better: less common, more appetizing.
4) Service: 7/10
This restaurant was very crowded and the waiting time is always too long.
Besides this point, there’s nothing else to say about the service.
5) Side Effects: 8/10
After eating this pizza I felt a bit bloated and thirsty but it was not so annoying.
